Are Big Red pods compatible with my Nespresso machine?

These pods are compatible with all Nespresso Original Line machines including the Essenza, Pixie, Citiz, Inissia and Lattissima ranges. They are not compatible with Nespresso Vertuo Line machines.

What does Big Red taste like as a pod?

Expect a lively, fruity cup with a big burst of zingy acidity from African coffees, balanced by the body and drinkability of a Brazilian pulped natural. A medium-light roast that lets the natural fruit sugars shine through.

How does Big Red differ from Black Bear pods?

Where Black Bear is rich and chocolatey with a medium-dark roast, Big Red is brighter and fruitier at a lighter roast. Big Red suits anyone who prefers a more vibrant, acidic cup or wants to explore Ethiopian-influenced flavours.

Seasonally adjusted

We update the Big Red every few months with new African coffees, which give the blend a big fruity burst of zingy acidity. We blend these with a Brazilian pulped natural which adds all day drinkability and body. We then roast to a medium light level which brings out the sugars of the beans without masking with any roast flavour.

We love this different but dependable blend and it's a great way to try out exciting new coffees coming out of Ethiopia.
